The arboretum and maternity photos

My friend was gracious enough to help us out with some maternity photos at the end of May. I really wanted to have some pictures of me and the hubby at this time in our life, photos for our little one to cherish one day and see how happy we were expecting her. :)
I had hoped to get some photos with the decorative apple blossoms (pink!) but they weren't in bloom (of course) but we found lots of other lush early summer backgrounds at the arboretum.
Can we call that place paradise, too?

Of course I can't go to the arboretum and not take some flower pictures...

From my last arboretum post about tulips, you might remember a whole grand space filled with buds. I had been worried that I wouldn't see them bloom... but I did!!
It was glorious!

And one last picture of the last vase I had of tulips from our garden. Ah, can't believe that time has passed already!
:(

Why do summers have to go by so fast?

Spring trees in the arboretum

I will let the pictures do the talking.
This park is really probably one of my favorite places on Earth.

Well, it took me long enough to get the pictures to upload. I think I might have been wrongfully blaming blogger and it could be that our laptop is just officially becoming a dinosaur. (NOOOO!!)

Will be back soon with more garden pictures and updates! :)
Also, we made some changes to the living room. Go figure now that I posted about it -- LOL!

Daffodils and tulips

Yesterday was gorgeous.

(These are from the garden!)
I mean, really really really beautiful!
Warm, sunny, and full of flowers. And ice cream. (No lie, I ate 3 ice cream cones!)
Oh and strawberries, too. Although, these were from Spain and not very sweet...it was still such a treat!

I met my mom around 10.30 a.m. at the arboretum. My agenda: take daffodil and tulip pictures.

Mission accomplished!
This post is dedicated to spring bulb flowers. :)

My plan was to take pictures of this tulip bed that they plant every year.
I saw it in this state and the first thought to cross my mind, I kid you not, was: "what if the baby comes and I miss seeing this and taking pictures of it."
I guess time will tell!

These pictures fortunately uploaded although I was having problems with blogger again (grrr), but I still figured it was wise to split the arboretum post into the bulb flower pictures and the rest. :)
Because I'm neat like that.

Lol!
So see ya soon with more arboretum pictures!! :)

Ponderings

Oh me oh my.
It seems this fall, I'm in a funk.
It's not a bad funk, I am actually quite happy... but I just can't seem to get anything done.
So very tired!!

Honestly, I'm looking forward to our trip to the States SO much that I am just counting down the days (41, if you were wondering). :)
I know why I am looking forward to our trip... can't wait to see special people, do special things, eat special foods etc etc.
So, I am hoping time will pass quickly but painlessly. I can't wait for November to be over! (a sad thing to say on only the 3rd!) :D
It's stressful graduating and having to take care of all these final things and tests and such. Let alone, find a job!! We're gonna be fudged come January if things don't work out... and for some reason, I just can't find the energy or enthusiasm for job hunting. I suppose going to school for "the wrong degree" might have some effect on my mood. :P
Coulda, shoulda, woulda.
Consequences are what they are... I just hope it all works out in the end.

So now that I have vented my frustrations and worries, I can focus on more "fun" things. :)

Like cleaning the house! Brushing the poor knotted mess of a dog! Cleaning the fish tank! Doing the dishes!

AHAHAHHAHAH!!!
It's a miracle I got out of bed before noon. ;)

I don't want to make this a pictureless post, so these are some pictures from last Sunday. I did a two year photo shoot of my friend's daughter and took some sweet family pictures of them too. :)

We went to the arboretum... which was still then covered in snow. Fortunately (?) the snow has since melted.
I totally can relate to these roses covered in snow.

Thanks for stopping by, despite my glum mood.
:)

Hope your weekend is a happy one!!

Fall foliage

This is the last batch of photos from the arboretum trip last week.
I loved the colors and play on textures throughout the park... It is so inspiring to how I want my future farm yard/garden sanctuary to look... Lots of colors and bloom throughout the seasons. :)

Off to work for free I go. :P
Have a wonderful Monday!
